This policy explains what personal data EOR Angola collects, why we collect it, and the rights you have. It applies to this website and to our services.

EOR Angola provides Employer of Record, payroll and related services in Angola. When we act as the employer of record for your staff, we process employee personal data as part of delivering that service. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean EOR Angola.
We collect information you give us directly and information generated when you use our site or services, including:
We use personal data to respond to enquiries, provide and administer our services, run compliant payroll and remit tax and social security, arrange insurance and benefits, meet legal and regulatory obligations in Angola including workforce composition reporting, and improve our website. We process employee data on the documented instructions of the client for whom we act as employer of record, alongside our own legal duties as the legal employer.
Angolan data protection law is consent based, with defined exceptions where processing is necessary to perform a contract, to comply with a legal obligation or to protect a legitimate interest. Where consent is the basis, it must be informed and freely given, and you may withdraw it, although this may prevent us from continuing to provide the service.
We share personal data only where needed to deliver the service: with the tax administration and the social security institute; with Angolan banks for salary payment and foreign exchange processing; with insurers for compulsory work accident cover and any medical benefits; and, where a client's local content or tender obligations require it, with the relevant authority or operator in the form required. We do not sell personal data.
Our handling of personal data is governed by Law 22 of 2011 on the Protection of Personal Data, supervised by the Agencia de Protecao de Dados, the Angolan data protection authority. The framework requires that personal data be processed lawfully, fairly and for specified purposes, that appropriate security measures are applied, and that individuals are able to access and correct data about themselves and to object to certain processing.
Two features of the Angolan regime deserve particular note. Processing operations are generally subject to notification to the authority, with prior authorisation required for sensitive categories of data. Separately, transfers of personal data outside Angola require notification or, depending on the destination, authorisation from the authority. The authority has become considerably more active in recent years and has issued substantial financial penalties, including for unauthorised international transfers and for failure to notify. Where we transfer or process personal data across borders in the course of delivering our services, we do so in line with these requirements.
Reform of the Angolan framework has been anticipated for some time. We keep this policy under review and will update it if the law changes.
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described here or as required by Angolan law. Employment, payroll and tax records are retained for the periods set by the applicable legislation. Enquiry data that does not lead to an engagement is held for a limited period and then deleted.
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss or disclosure. Identity, payroll and banking data is treated as sensitive, and access is restricted to staff who need it to deliver the service.
Subject to Angolan law, you may ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, object to processing, or withdraw consent. To make a request, email us at the address below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. You may also raise a concern with the Agencia de Protecao de Dados.
